Elizabeth & Blake: Sneak Peek! | Central Park Arsenal | NYC Wedding Photographer

Central Park Wedding Photographer

This was one crazy wedding weekend! On Saturday, I had the pleasure of working with Beth and Blake in Central Park. These two were fabulous and they had the absolute perfect day for a rooftop park wedding. Yes, you heard correctly. Married on a rooftop with skyline views at sunset in Central Park? Yes, please. More to come!

Krina & Prat | NYC Elopement Photographer | Shakespeare Garden | Tribeca

After meeting with Krina and Prat a few months before their wedding, I knew it was going to be awesome. While they are having a big, more traditional Indian wedding next spring, they wanted something small that could be just for them this summer, hence the elopement. Krina said they were looking for colorful and fun, two things I always LOVE to hear and knew would make fabulous photos! :-)

They were married on a beautiful summer evening a few weeks ago in the Shakespeare Garden in Central Park by the wonderful Lawrence Greco (my second wedding by a Buddhist Monk!) surrounded by their parents and sisters. It was a beautiful ceremony with both Krina and Prat writing their own vows. I love how expressive these two are, their faces during the ceremony were great! :-)

Hurray!

After the ceremony, we wandered through the garden and Central Park taking all sorts of fun photos. These two are complete goof balls and had no problem hamming it up.  I’m pretty sure we were laughing the whole time! :-)

After Central Park, we grabbed a cab down to Tribeca where they were meeting their family later for dinner.

Krina and Prat immediately asked for a stop at the Balloon Saloon for some monkeying around, which I am always happy to oblige. :-) This place is super fun!

Superman to rescue the damsel in distress!

A ceremony by Batman? We can do that.

Then on to explore the neighborhood. I love when couples are willing to just wander the streets and go for it. This area has so many cool little spots and fantastic architecture.

I LOVE cool doorways, and bright colors? Double win.

Krina and Prat, you guys rock. I had a fantastic time. Thanks SO much for having me and I wish you two the very best, Congratulations!

Emma & Franklin | New York City Wedding Photographer | Housing Works Bookstore

Emma and Franklin. You guys, this wedding was amazing. Mostly because of these two kids. Emma and Franklin are the most adorable, fun loving, awesome couple ever. You can’t work with these guys and not have a blast. :-)

We started the day on the roof of the 60 Thompson Hotel. Not too shabby of a view, huh?

I told you they were adorable!

Oh hi, NYC skyline, you do make a lovely backdrop.

SO much cute. You guys are fun overload!

While scouting out the area, I found this building with a yellow door, I figured we had to stop by to go along with the bright color scheme!

We wandered our way from 60 Thompson down to Housing Works. Soho is a fantastic neighborhood for photo taking!

And this is why I love them. Goofiness. The world needs as many reminders as possible, wedding photos = FUN!

And then we met up with the wedding party at Housing Works. How’s this for some beautiful people? Check out those shoes!

The color theme was NEON. I love everything about this.

Some fun pre-wedding reading for these two animal lovers. :-)

And then time to get married! Housing Works is such a wonderful venue for a wedding.

Then we DANCED!

What’s up, dance party?

Most delicious looking cake ever? The answer is yes. Even if you’re not quite sure how to cut it. ;-)

Emma and Franklin, I’m making you promise we can be friends in real life. You guys are amazing awesome and I wish you many years of happiness and laughter together. For like, EVER. :-) Thanks times a million for having me!

Brittany & Elijah | NYC Wedding Photographer | Housing Works Bookstore

What a way to kick off 2013! You may remember Brittany and Elijah from their super fun engagement photos at the Natural History Museum. I have been looking forward to their wedding for forever, and had a fantastic time! :-)

The wedding was at the Housing Works Bookstore and Cafe, one of the few times you can have not only a great wedding venue, but one that gives back to the community with a wonderful mission as well. I’m so excited to be shooting  a number of weddings here this wedding season!

Not only are Brittany and Elijah two amazing individuals, but their friends can DANCE. I loved every minute of this awesome-ness.

A super high five shout out also goes out to Lindsay for rocking it out as my second shooter! :-)

Check out her beautiful bouquet of vintage brooches… Isn’t it gorgeous?

Meanwhile, Lindsay hung out with Elijah and his team at their hotel.

After these guys were ready, we cabbed it over to Housing Works and set up a first look on the streets of Soho. I love when a couple decides to do a first look, and these photos are some of my favorite first look moments ever. :-)

From there we wandered around the block to get some fun portraits, I love this part of town!

You kids are too cute. :-)

After portraits, Elijah and Brittany had their Ketubah signing and the badeken in the basement of the bookstore while the rest of the guests arrived.

Their ceremony was beautiful, I loved their vows and how much they included friends and family. I also just love the setting of this bookstore for a wedding the lights and guests on the surrounding balcony make for a really cool atmosphere.

Hurrah! And then it was time to PARTY!

Brittany and Elijah also had a shtick, a tradition I always look forward to! This one was full of loads of entertainment, but perhaps my favorite was a rendition of The Little Mermaid’s Kiss the Girl, complete with sing along cue cards!  These guys were hilarious!

And then we HORA!!

DANCE PARTY! As a photographer (and dance loving girl myself ;-) ), I fully appreciate weddings where people can rock a dance floor, and these guys did not disappoint! Love all of these!

Brittany and Elijah, thank you SO SO much for having me be a part of your day! I had an incredible time with you both and wish you loads of happiness for many years to come!

Cheers and congratulations!!

Stefanie & Hernan | New York City Wedding Photographer | Queens | Riverview Restaurant

Stefanie and Hernan had a beautiful wedding this summer in Queens. They’re both huge giants fans, so Stef’s garter was perfect! :-)

I started the day with Stef at her mom’s house while the girls got ready. Isn’t her hair gorgeous?

After the ceremony we were off on a whirlwind tour of photos in Manhattan! Grand Central, New York Public Library, and Central Park!

A great looking bridal party!

Love this shot!

One of Stef’s only photo requests, pink socks and shoes! :-)

Their reception was right on the water at Riverview Restaurant, so we also got to take photos at Gantry Plaza.

I also busted out a photobooth set up for this wedding! Such a good time!  Stef and Hernan brought along some super fun props and the guests brought the party! :-) (If you’re interested in a photobooth for your reception in NYC, let m know!)

Congratulations!

Erin & Jeff | Valentine’s Day NYC Elopement | City Hall | New York City

Erin and Jeff contacted me back in January to ask about the possibility of a Valentine’s Day elopement in the city. I thought that sounded great! Especially considering that my own husband had to work a 12 hour day that day, I was happy to spend the holiday around NYC with these two!

Erin and Jeff didn’t tell anyone their plans! Instead, they made up special Valentine’s Day cards with the surprise news that were scheduled to arrive while they were tying the knot! Such a cute idea!

We started the day at their hotel and with a stroll through Central Park.

Also, I LOVE her red shoes!!

After the park, we headed downtown to City Hall.

When the ceremony was finished we wandered down to South Street Seaport to grab a few more portraits!

Erin and Jeff, thanks for having me! It was great hanging out with both of you and I wish you the very happiest of Valentine’s!
