Matt & Gail | NYC Elopement Photographer | Carl Schurz Park
This was such a wonderful elopement! Carl Schurz Park is one of my favorite places in the city. A little gem of beautiful green space hidden away way on the Upper East Side. This isn’t a park for tourists, it’s a local spot that’s generally always quiet and calm. It also happens to be two blocks from my new apartment… so when Matt and Gail said that was where they’d like to have their ceremony, I was thrilled! Three cheers for couples willing to explore a bit off the beaten path!
They had a lovely ceremony under gorgeous blue summer skies, performed by Christopher Frost Shelley of Illuminating Ceremonies. After wandering around Carl Schurz and the Upper East Side, we hopped in a limo for some fantastic sunset photos at Gantry Park in Queens and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Skyline wedding photos can’t be beat!
Congratulations to Matt and Gail! Best wishes to you both!
Ana & Russell: Sneak Peek! | Elope in NYC | Central Park
Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day, and I got to spend it with Ana and Russell in beautiful Central Park! My job is the best. These guys were so wonderful to work with, I had a great time. More to come soon from their lovely elopement.
Congratulations to you both! Enjoy the Bahamas!
Sarah & Pete | Elope in New York City | 6BC Botanical Garden | The Highline
Sarah and Pete, you guys made for SUCH a fantastic day! These two teachers came all the way from Western Australia to get hitched in NYC! I’m pretty sure that’s about as far as you can possibly travel for a wedding. And they brought the awesome. Sarah let on that she had been religiously stalking my blog for photo ideas and we took a grand tour of the city to make all sorts of magic happen. ![]()
They started off with a ceremony and one of my most favorite gardens in the city, the 6BC Botanical Garden in Alphabet City. Their ceremony was officiated by the always wonderful Judie Guild with their close family present. One of my favorite little details I’ve seen in some time, they read their vows off of vintage NYC postcards! How cool is that? After delicious cupcakes, we took a few more photos in the garden, and then headed off! From the skyline views and colorful streets of Greenpoint, Brooklyn to Tribeca, The Highline, and Washington Mews, these guys rocked! I can’t thank you both enough for being so wonderful!
Loads of congratulations to you both! (And I will be asking to meet up for a beer someday when I make my way down under! )
