Jennifer & David: Sneak Peek! | New Jersey Wedding Photographer | Kingsland Park
I have been loving this gorgeous fall weather we’ve been having, and Jennifer and David got to take full advantage of another beautiful sunny day! These guys were married this weekend in a small ceremony at Kingsland Park in New Jersey. More to come!

I met up with Jennifer and David over in Hoboken this evening for their engagement shoot right before the thunderstorm. Here’s a quick sneak peek, more to come!

Avi & Shira | New Jersey Wedding Photographer | The Atrium
You may remember Avi and Shira from their Central Park engagement session last fall. These two are about the happiest couple together you could imagine, and it was so much fun to photograph them both! Their wedding was held at the Atrium in New Jersey, and though the day was a little chilly for March, they were troopers with outdoor photos and we had a blast making some lovely images!
These are paper flowers! Aren’t they pretty?
Shira’s brothers helped her with the finishing touches.
As I’ve mentioned many times, I love when couples decide to do a first look. The expressions are priceless. 
I don’t think these guys could have smiled more if they tried. 
It was pretty frigid outside, so we also opted to snap a few indoor shots as well so they could warm up a bit!
After portraits, it was time for Avi’s tish, the bedeken, and the ketubah signing. I love the shot below from the bedeken!
I believe Shira’s dad is reminding her of the correct letters, but mostly I just think it’s a pretty cute moment between the two of them.
And then time for the ceremony. Cool fun fact: The poles in their chuppah are made of sugar cane, which was then served at the reception; a tradition carried over from Shira’s father’s work in Africa.
After the ceremony it was time for my most favorite part of Jewish weddings, the dancing! Horas and the schtick and all kinds of fun! You guys, the floor was literally SHAKING during this hora! So much energy!
Side note. I’m fairly certain this is the best parents of the groom photo I’ve ever taken. 
Dear wedding shticks, you are my favorite thing ever.
And then there was the time Avi went FLYING. Holy moly. But he recovered playing a pretty wicked air guitar. So all was good.
Avi and Shira, thanks SO much for having me! You two make a wonderful couple and it was so fun getting to be a part of your day! Congratulations and best wishes!

Maddy & Yossi | New Jersey Wedding Photographer | Temple Beth Shalom
Maddy and Yossi were married this summer at Maddy’s family temple in Cherry Hill, NJ. These two along with their family and friends put on one fabulous celebration! So much joy and happiness was wrapped up in their day. Maddy is one of the most organized people ever, and her planning paid off, everything was beautiful.

Maddy and Yossi each gave a tish before the ceremony. Both were full of of lots of song and laughter!
Yossi being danced over to Maddy. Have I mentioned how much I love shooting Jewish weddings? So much fun energy and tradition!
There was so much love and support for these two from their families. Everything you need to know is in Maddy’s grandfather’s face.
The reception that followed was one of the most energetic that I’ve ever seen! Seriously, this was a marathon of hora dancing!!
AND! My most favorite Jewish wedding tradition of all! The shtick! This is the third wedding I’ve been to with one of these performances, and they are always amazingly awesome.
Oh and that handstand? That’s Eitan! My clients are a talented bunch!

Julie & Eric | New Jersey Wedding Photographer | Landmark Loews Jersey Theater
Julie and Eric came to me via Offbeat Bride. You probably remember them from their amazingly awesome Coney Island engagement shoot last fall. These two are so incredibly fun, and it was fantastic getting to spend the day with them!
They are both theater folks and were married where it would only be fitting, on stage! They venue they chose was the absolutely spectacular Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theater in Jersey City, and it was incredible! If you haven’t been inside this building before, seriously, schedule a tour asap!
Ok, on to the photos!
I started the day with Julie and her crew at their hotel.

First looks with the couple are always emotional, but first looks with the dad’s are always just as precious.
I love how devious Julie looks.
I love first looks, just for moments like these.
So, I see a lot of cool flowers, but this boutonniere might be my favorite of all time. Eric is a comic book guy, and this flower is made of folded comics! How cool is that?
Don’t worry, the comic book cool didn’t stop at the flowers! Awesome accessories were had as well.
Then we were off to take some portraits along the Jersey City riverside!
The wedding party made sure to demo how posing should be done.
We may or may not have had some fun with wheelbarrows and golfcarts.
From the waterfront we headed to the theater. Seriously, did I mention how amazing this place is?
Their ceremony was beautiful and fun and everything that seemed so very them. They even played rock, paper, scissors to decide who said vows first. (Julie won!)
Eric’s dad was the officiant!
So many fun details at the reception!

Clearly an awesome time was had by all!

Julie & Eric | Sneak Peek! | New Jersey Wedding Photographer | Landmark Loews Jersey Theater
A quick sneak preview of one of the more awesome weddings I’ve have the chance to photograph! Julie and Eric are both theater folks and were married on stage yesterday at the Landmark Loews Jersey Theater. This place was AMAZING. I have never seen anything like it!

Cait & Ian | New Jersey Engagement Photographer
When Cait originally contacted me to see if I’d be interested in doing an ice skating engagement session, I was super excited! Not only did it sound really fun, but I love when couples come up with an activity they enjoy for their session. Especially if you’re not used to having a camera follow you around, having something to do makes things lots easier and more fun!
It took a little investigative work to find a good rink for photos, but we ended up at this nice outdoor spot in Edison, New Jersey, and even got a wonderfully sunny day too!
Ian used to play hockey, so they thought it’d be fun if they each wore one of his jerseys.
After skating for a bit, we ended the shoot with a walk around the park enjoying the spring-like February day.
Seriously, you kids are so CUTE! Love this.
