Haley and Rames came from Florida for their elopement at Brooklyn Bridge Park. They were hoping for a lovely spring day, however, Mother Nature had other plans. It was absolutely frigid and rainy, which wasn’t exactly what they were looking for weather wise, but these two knew that getting married was the goal, and that they did and the joy abounded.
I’d say about 90% of couples who elope at Brooklyn Bridge Park opt to get married around Pier 1. This is the most famous area, right under the Brooklyn Bridge. It includes the boardwalk, Janes Carousel, and Pebble Beach. It’s generally what people think of when they think of Brooklyn Bridge Park. However, every now and then I get couples who are willing to go further afield and off the beaten path which I always appreciate! Haley and Rames decided they wanted to get married on Pier 6 all the way down at the beginning of the park by Atlantic Avenue. They decided on early morning to limit the crowds which is always a move I support as well. Pier 6 along with Pier 3 and John Street are some of my fave off the radar spots if you’re looking for nice Brooklyn Bridge Park areas that are a bit more unique.
Pier 6 while lacking the Brooklyn Bridge views, does have excellent views of the Manhattan skyline, a bit of street art, and you can wander around the marina area with the sail boats which is always nice too! Haley and Rames were married by their good friend and then headed to brunch to celebrate! It was a chilly morning, but these two were full of love! Congratulations to the happy couple!

I loved Haley’s veil! The embroidered leaves were so pretty!
