Love in the time of Corona virus.
These are the times we’re living in and I’m here to say love is most definitely not cancelled. Since the Covid lockdown measures have been lifted, I’ve been so happy to get back with couples to celebrate! (Safety measures in place of course)
Rebecca and Basti had originally planned a larger celebration with all their family, but due to the virus their plans changed and a tiny wedding on the Brooklyn waterfront was had at Pebble Beach in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Basti’s family are from Chile, so for the moment, we zoomed them in to the ceremony. Rebecca and Basti were married by Alex of Honeybreak Officiants on Pebble Beach. The views from this part of the park can’t be beat and a benefit of the pandemic was that it was mostly empty of other tourists during their morning ceremony.
After a sweet and joyous ceremony and an exchange of rings and a wedding watch for Basti (how cool is that?) they celebrated with a rose petal toss and we were off for lots of photos. We wandered through the park, recreating a photo they take under the Manhattan bridge every year and then out into Dumbo. Later I hopped in a cab and met them over in the West Village for a stroll of Washington Square Park, the Washington Mews and a few quaint West Village streets.
Rebecca and Basti are the sweetest couple! I’m excited to hopefully still photograph their family celebration in the coming months and send huge congratulations to them both!
