I love proposals! They’re such a fun moment to be a part of!
In between studying for her exams to become a nurse practitioner, Samantha had been planning to go out for brunch for Desmond’s upcoming birthday. What she didn’t know was he had another plan, a Brooklyn Bridge Park marriage proposal! On a rainy Saturday morning he managed to convince her to take a stroll down to the park before their brunch.The rain actually played to their advantage as they had the whole boardwalk to themselves. As they got down to the waterfront he got down on one knee to propose!
Samantha’s reaction was perfect and then as an added surprise? Both of their families ran down to meet them… Samantha’s mom literally almost tackled her in a hug. It was adorable. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen two moms more excited.
Their families have been friends for years and it was so cool to have them all be part of the moment.
After a few photos with family, they went off to get their table for brunch and I spent some time walking along Brooklyn Bridge Park with just Desmond and Samantha for some fun newly engaged photos. These guys were so goofy and fun I had a great time hanging out and sharing travel stories from their adventures together.
