I don’t second shoot weddings as often as I’d like, but when I get the chance, especially for fellow photographer friends it’s a treat. Seconding every now and then is great. There’s not nearly as much pressure and you get to see how another photographer works. Win win.
This particular wedding was second shot for my lovely friend Kelly, of Kelly Prizel Photography. I was in Connecticut for the weekend anyway for a triathlon race, so when Kelly asked if anyone would be available to second shoot a wedding at Lighthouse Point Park, I jumped at the chance. I shot an engagement session here many moons ago, but had never done a wedding at the park and have wanted to forever. This venue is amazing! If you’re a fan of beautiful light, historic carousels (that you and your guests get to ride your whole reception!), and weddings on the beach at sunset this place is for you. So basically? It’s super photographer heaven.
I would love to shoot more Lighthouse Point Park Weddings in the future, so if you’re planning an event here, let me know! For now though, I hope you enjoy the photos!
I love the groom’s face at this first look on the carousel.
Bridesmaids in all different shades of blue was perfect for this seaside summer wedding!
Are you having a Lighthouse Point Park Wedding?
I’d love to hear from you!
