I work with loads of couples from Scotland, but Gary is my first groom in a kilt! These two were referred to me by my previous clients Clare and Nicky, who had their ceremony in Central Park a few summers ago.
I met up with Alison and Gary at City Hall in early in the morning. They had gotten their marriage license a bit later the day before, so we had some time to take photos around the office before we went in for their ceremony. While I took them to some normal spots behind the Clerk’s Office we also took a loop through Chinatown which was so fun. This is such a colorful neighborhood just around the block but I hardly ever get to take couples through here, so I loved taking these guys around. After pre-ceremony photos we headed into City Hall and it was delightfully empty. They got through in under 20 minutes! Hurray!
After they were officially hitched we grabbed a cab over to the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge along with Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a beautiful day and perfect for enjoying the waterfront. Thanks so much to Alison and Gary for inviting me to be a part of your day! Congratulations to you both!
Alison asked her mom to fix the sleeves in her jacket… this is how it came back. 🙂
