I adore summer camp weddings! Outdoors, casual laid back atmosphere, right on the lake? What else could you ask for in a fun wedding celebration? Daniella and Max were married at Camp Kinder Ring, a camp located just north of the city in the Hudson Valley. I’ve photographed a few weddings here in the past and it’s always been a great time. The other times I’ve been here have been in the summer though, so what fun to get the first glimpse of fall leaves for Daniella and Max’s day!
I started out with the tail end of Daniella getting ready with all her friends and sisters and then we did a first look just outside the cabin. From there we took full advantage of the leaves and the lakefront for a lovely portrait session! In the days leading up to the wedding I was fearing rain, but it turned into an absolutely spectacular fall day with blue skies all around.
After portraits it was time for the tisch and bedeken which are always a blast to photograph with all the energy and activity they entail. The ceremony followed right on the lake front before sunset and it was beautiful. Daniella and Max and their friends and family then brought the house down with a hora to end all horas! I was certain the floor was about to cave in with all the dancing! These guys have MOVES!
Congratulations Daniella and Max! It was so much fun documenting your day! Best wishes to you both!
