If you’re looking to have your wedding proposal in NYC and are looking for a great place, sometimes a spot for more private moment is the best. For quaint neighborhood streets, beautiful brownstones and a bit of tranquility in the city the West Village is always my favorite. Their are loads of spots to propose in New York, but this tiny little garden in the heart of the West Village might be one of my new favorites. A surprise proposal in the west village captures all the best parts of iconic NYC. The Jefferson Market Garden is a beautiful space and even though the day of this proposal was rainy, it was perfect for a romantic proposal in NYC!
Craig lives in the West Village and he arranged the details with the caretakers beforehand to make sure we would be all good for photographing the proposal and it was so lovely. If you’re looking for a spot for a bit of privacy and green space and close to lots of beautiful streets for engagement photos, the Jefferson Market Garden is a great proposal location!

It was the rainiest of days for this proposal, but we made it work! I always come prepared with big clear umbrellas and can make the weather work for photos!

Another surprise! Craig had his fiances family there at their favorite restaurant to surprise her! The best!
