One of my favorite places take elopement photos is Brooklyn Bridge Park! You can’t beat the views and there are also so many options for photos in the surrounding areas like Dumbo or Brooklyn Heights. These two beautiful brides came from Puerto Rice to get married in NYC and opted for a sunset elopement in Brooklyn Bridge Park! It was amazing! However, their day was WINDY and very chilly, but these two and their sisters were the best cold weather champs!
If you’re looking for bright murals, which these brides were, Dumbo is the perfect place to get lots of street art for your elopement photos. This heart mural is one of my favorites for all the vibrant colors, and I hope it stays around for years to come!
The YES! mural is also awesome, and T & C brought along some fun props to use for their Brooklyn elopement photos which I loved!
They met working in publishing, so it was of course important to get some photos with their favorite books.

After a photo tour of Dumbo, Brooklyn, we headed down for sunset on the Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront and their ceremony. The vows were officiated by Karla of Once Upon a Vow, one of my all time favorite officiants. If you’re looking for Spanish speaking Queer friendly weddings, Karla is your person!
They had beautiful person vows and the sunset light coming through was gorgeous! The boardwalk was under construction the week they had their Brooklyn Bridge Park wedding, so we pivoted to the lawn, but I think it still worked out wonderfully.
After making things official, we continued down the park for more skyline views! What a treat! These two brides were so wonderful and it was such a beautiful evening! T & C are also a great example of wear what makes YOU happy! I loved the non-traditional looks they chose for themselves and it was a fantastic elopement!
