Oh how I LOVE photographing NYC marriage proposals! Proposals are the most fun, there’s usually an element of surprise, genuine emotion, and so much nervous energy. It’s of an adrenaline kick for me and I can’t get enough. This surprise NYC proposal took place at a great spot if you’re looking to propose with a view. Gantry Park is located in Queens and has an ideal view of the midtown NYC skyline. You’ve got the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building along with a gorgeous view of the river right on the waterfront. Another great aspect of Gantry Park for your NYC proposal spot is that it’s perfect for sunset as well, so an extra romantic time to pop the question! The sun drops right behind the buildings, so we get great golden light to highlight your proposal moment.

Jon was very excited to propose to Manini and told her they were going on a walk along the waterfront at Gantry Park near their home with their dogs. Little did Manini know that he would be getting down one knee half way through the walk. Jon scouted the perfect location on his morning walks with the dogs and I was there waiting to capture the moment.

Her surprised face is the best! Proposals are so much fun!

She said yes! And the sunset light! It was perfection!

Checking out the sparkle on her ring and she was pleased! 🙂

No matter what kind of NYC proposal package you book, I always make sure to take some engagement photos afterwards. At Gantry Park we had our pick of great spots for photos.

Jon and Manini were a dream to photograph and with Gantry Park as a backdrop it was the best time!

We also made sure to stop in front of the iconic Pepsi Cola sign in Gantry Park and their pups also made an appearance!

Congrats you two!! Thanks so much for inviting me to capture your NYC Proposal in Gantry Park!
