Finally getting to part 2 of this epic wedding weekend! While the weather didn’t completely cooperate, it was still an amazing weekend. Speaking of which, are you looking for a fantastic wedding venue in the Catskills? Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY was wonderful and I such an incredible time photographing this wedding. We had lots of different spots to chose from and you couldn’t go wrong with all the natural backdrops. What made this weekend truly great though? Sarah and Anish and all the joy these two shared. You could not ask for a kinder, more gracious pair and the community they surrounded themselves with was so much fun to hang out with. All those smiles on Sarah’s face? My heart was the happiest as well taking these photos.
Onto the wedding day! Sarah and Anish found me after seeing Omar and Hajir’s wedding at the Foundry and I’m so thankful they did. This wedding was so full of color, love and joy. If there are ideal kinds of weddings I love to photograph, Sarah and Anish’s celebration at Full Moon Resort would definitely be counted in that category. I started the day with Sarah and her crew in their cabin. Sarah and Anish planned to split their day with an Indian ceremony and dress to start and then switching to western attire for the reception. There were so many lovely details to Sarah’s outfit and her flowers were just beautiful.
Anish’s outfit was almost as grand as Sarah’s!
Getting the finishing touches just right!
Sarah’s friends faces when they saw her was priceless!
I always love a good champagne toast!
A bit of rain wasn’t going to hold of the day.
The festivities started with the baraat and everyone paraded down the hill to the ceremony tent filled with music and dancing.
Sarah’s mom was very excited to get Anish ready for the ceremony.
Those first look faces when the curtain dropped were excellent!
After the ceremony it was on to portraits around the grounds of the Full Moon Resort. It was so lush and green and their outfits were beautiful.
And then it was time for an outfit change! Sarah’s mom helped her get dressed and there were lots of cute moments between mother and daughter.
Another great first look!
Seriously how gorgeous are they?
Sarah’s bouquet was SO pretty!!
And then it was reception time. The big barn area where they had their reception/dance was light filled and so lovely. The evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, a rocking dance floor, great food and a sparkler send off at the end of the night.
This dance was so much fun! The band kept people on their toes all night and the dance floor was hopping!
However, perhaps a favorite moment of the night was when Anish took to the drums for a rendition of Love Shack! He was awesome! And by the way, get yourself a spouse who cheers for you as enthusiastically as Sarah cheered for Anish and you’ll be set.
The biggest of congrats to Anish and Sarah! Thank you SO SO much for inviting me to document your weekend at Full Moon Resort. It was an honor and the absolute best time! All the warmest wishes your way!
