If you’re looking for the coolest of cool in Brooklyn; Bushwick or Williamsburg are usually some of the places you’re going to look. While Williamsburg is leaning towards starting to lose it’s edge in terms of graffiti and what some might call a little urban grittiness, Bushwick still has that in spades. Lisa and Stuart opted for a wedding reception party at a really cool venue called the Bogart House in the center of it all in Bushwick. If you’re looking for a trendy event space with a killer roof deck, look no further, Bogart House has you covered.
Lisa and Stuart eloped at City Hall in San Francisco… (side note: if any of you are looking to elope in San Francisco City Hall and want to take me there? I am 100% in.) But they still wanted to have a party with all their friends back in New York. Enter Bogart House and an amazing day to party without the ceremony. I’m in! I started off at their apartment in East Williamsburg for getting ready. Akiyo Hair and Make-up did an amazing job getting Lisa ready, though her little Shih Tzo Bonzi was clearly the star of the show. 🙂
After some friend photos and champagne on their roof, we headed on a walk to the venue with photos en route. But first, Lisa and Stuart wanted to take a spin on some Citibikes! I LOVE this idea, and it was so fun to have them peddle around for for some biking shots.
Lots of tagging street art abounds on the blocks around the Bogart House, so we had lots of colorful backdrops to chose from. Lisa and Stuart were great at making each other laugh and just having a good time.
Once we got to the venue, they let us up to the top deck for some photos there were hammocks on the roof, because of course! So we were for sure going to enjoy a lounge.
The views at sunset were excellent! Then on to the PARTY! These guys came to DANCE and the floor was full all night. Also this light up floor? I’ve never seen anything like it and it was super cool!
Thanks for throwing one heck of a party Lisa and Stuart! Huge congrats to you both!
