What a beautiful evening this was! If you’re looking for the perfect micro wedding location in NYC, look no further then the Merchant’s House Museum in the East Village. I can’t believe I have never photographed an event here before this one, but it was SO pretty! I’m always on the lookout for beautiful little gardens for weddings in Manhattan, and I have to say, this tiny spot is perfect! If you’re having a micro wedding or small elopement and looking for a unique spot in NYC, I would definitely recommend looking into the Merchant’s House Museum!
I mean look how lovely this garden is!!
The Merchant’s House Museum was where Kat and Kevin had their micro wedding this summer and I’m so glad I got the chance to photograph their event. They had family and few friends join them and it just the right size for the little back garden. They walked into their ceremony together and then were married by Kevin’s father. It’s always special when a couple has someone who knows them officiate, and having his father marry them made for a touching ceremony. Following their vows, they celebrating with a champagne toast and some light appetizers and macaroon cookies and it was delightful.
This garden allows you to be surrounded by flowers on all sides, isn’t it gorgeous?
I always love a good recessional! Kat and Kevin were the happiest!
The front steps and surrounding streets of the Merchant’s House Museum also lend themselves well to photos.
Kat’s bouquet and dress were stunning as well.
I LOVE long veils and Kat’s veil was so gorgeous.
After the champagne toasts, Kat and Kevin headed uptown for a celebratory dinner. Their last request was a crosswalk shot on Park Avenue, done and done! Congrats you two! Sending all the happy wishes your way!
