If the saying is true, that rain on your wedding day is good luck, then Wei and Tomek should buy lots of lottery tickets! This was a super wet day, but Tomek and Wei were so laid back and relaxed, and totally willing to not let a little rain ruin their otherwise wonderful day. It was also the most perfect day for the delicate spring blooms, and allowed for some incredible photos of this cherry blossom elopement in Central Park.
We started the morning at Bethesda Terrace and had some fun wandering and twirling under the archways just before it started to rain. It should be noted also that Wei’s gorgeous dress? She designed and made it HERSELF! How amazing is that? I couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. After Bethesda, I knew there were some beautiful trees in full bloom by Conservatory Water, so we headed that way and Wei and Tomek were willing to head up under the trees of the path for some beautiful photos. It was magical, with the petals raining down like a gentle snowfall. We headed back up to the mall for some photos with the umbrella (I always bring a big clear golf umbrella for rainy days) and then back to Ladies Pavilion for the ceremony.
They were married by a close friend, with a few other loved ones in attendance. Afterwards, everyone headed out to a celebratory lunch. An excellent morning had by all. Huge congrats to the happy couple! Thanks so much for having me!
