Emily and Mark came from Ireland to have their elopement wedding at City Hall in NYC. It was just the two of them and we had so much fun. They were another of the thousand couples who told me beforehand, we’re not photogenic! This will be hard. I mean, look at these two? How CUTE are they? I told them what I tell everyone. Do you like each other? Are you happy to spend time together? That’s all I ask. If you’re happy to be married, we’ll get wonderful photos to capture your love. I just ask to be yourselves.
Emily and Mark had a great laid back vibe and weren’t afraid to be silly, their laughter was contagious. When I asked for their plans to celebrate the rest of the day? Beers and video games at Barcade! Sounds like the perfect relaxed, stress free elopement wedding to me!
We met up at City Hall in Manhattan and it wasn’t too crowded, so we got through in good time. From there we headed around the area of City Hall and then over to Tribeca. I love doing elopement photos in Tribeca. It’s an easy walk from the Clerk’s Office and has lots of cool architecture to work with that feels very old school New York. From the alleyways of Tribeca we made our way out to the west side highway waterfront on the Hudson. It’s a fun spot to end and gives some great glimpses of the downtown Manhattan skyline.
