I had such a blast with these two at their intimate restaurant wedding in Manhattan. They were married on the 4th anniversary to the day that they met. According to Jess, “We only could have met in New York – in all its amazing history and wild coincidences. Our very first interaction was a discussion of Jane Jacobs’ “The Death and Life of Great American Cities” and Robert Moses’ “The Power Broker.” We haven’t stopped talking about books (or really anything else) since.” After meeting they’ve enjoyed all the culture the city has to offer and traveled around the globe.
I first met Jess and Justin for portraits with a little downtown skyline at Brooklyn Bridge Park and had fun wandering the boardwalk and a bit of Dumbo as well. From there we hopped in a cab and went back across the river to make a quick stop at their apartment, which has some awesome decor, all the books (of course) and an amazing roof deck.
From their apartment we departed for Manhatta, where they had their restaurant wedding surrounded by close family. I love tiny restaurant weddings, there are so many great spots in the city where you can book a private room and get a ceremony and reception spot all in one! This room was especially lovely with an amazing view overlooking the city! Their ceremony was touching and joy filled, and they both offered quotes from their favorite books and exchanged heartfelt vows. After making it official they enjoyed a wonderful meal while taking in the view!
Congratulations Jess and Justin! It was such a pleasure to meet you both! Best wishes!
