This was such a fun summer afternoon elopement. Marly and Carlos came from North Carolina to get married in New York City. They were looking for a rooftop to tie the knot and their Citizen M Hotel Rooftop wedding ended up perfect. The fun thing about an intimate wedding or elopement is you can often talk to hotels and get them to open up a space that might not otherwise normally be used for weddings if you don’t mind getting married in off hours. Marly and Carlos did just this. This balcony is normally a terrace for Citizen M Hotel’s rooftop bar, but since they married in the morning, the hotel was happy to let them use it for a small ceremony.
Marly and Carlos had a bilingual ceremony on the rooftop with Veronica Moya and then had a champagne toast with all their family to celebrate afterwards. After a glass of bubbly, we hopped in a cab to nearby Central Park for some photos at Shakespeare Garden and the Ramble, one of my favorite spots.
Congratulations to Marly and Carlos, thanks for a wonderful afternoon!
