This was such a fun offbeat wedding! Sarah and Aaron were married at Bat Haus, an awesome co-working space in Bushwick, Brooklyn that can be transformed for all kinds of events. This neighborhood is fantastic for photos, right in the thick of hipster Brooklyn and next to all sorts of amazing street art in the Bushwick Collective. If you ever want to be amazed by the talented artists in this city, just take a stroll through a few blocks of this collective.
I had such a great time shooting Sarah and Aaron’s portraits! These two were so low key and relaxed. After a spin around the neighborhood, they were married surrounded by family and friends by Aaron’s brother. I love when couples get someone they know as an officiant, it adds something extra special to the ceremony. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed lots of merriment for all with a room full of board games, card games and dancing.
Congratulations Sarah and Aaron! Best wishes to you!
A friend of their’s hand painted these cake toppers to look just like Sarah and Aaron. Aren’t they awesome?
These bonded as Aaron taught Sarah computer programming. At the time of their engagement he was teaching her a programming language called Ruby. Hence, her ring is just about perfect.
