What an amazing day for love!! I write a happy pride post every year, but this year I wanted to hold off until the Supreme Court ruling was announced. I remember watching the live senate feed in New York and popping champagne as marriage equality passed, crying happy tears in the airport as I found out that my home state of Minnesota voted, and now I’m in my parents house overjoyed, cheering and shedding more happy tears as I listen to the news of today’s Supreme Court decision!
Congratulations to all on this historic day. I have been so incredibly honored to document the love of so many awesome LGBTQ couples over the years and now I couldn’t be happier to see love triumph on a national stage. I wish everyone a fantastic pride weekend! So much to celebrate!

While I’m sad I’m not in New York this weekend to celebrate this victory at the NYC Pride festivities, I am extra excited to be photographing Jenny and Claudia’s wedding! Two beautiful brides from Florida are getting hitched in my hometown in Minnesota. It’s going to amazing, and now filled with an extra dose of awesome. Stay tuned for all the photos!
