Matt and Lucy. Couples like these two are why my job is awesome. Matt and Lucy came over from the UK for their wedding day in New York City, and it was perfect, filled to the brim with joy. I met them just after dawn in Central Park, one of my favorite times to photograph, and we had a blast laughing and wandering through the park and a bit of the Upper East Side. I had a lovely time chatting with them and hearing about Matt’s scuba adventures all over the world! (Who knew you could dive off the coast of Sudan?? Don’t worry mom, I’m not going there anytime soon.) After some beautiful photo taking they were married by the always wonderful Judie Guild right on the lake by Bethesda Terrace.
Matt and Lucy were all about the goofiness and silly faces, which was great fun. I know I’ve got the right clients when walking past some hopscotch drawn in the sidewalk, Lucy took one look at me and said, “Can we?” Always, you should always stop for hopscotch. 🙂
