I’m off again for more adventures! I warned you I suffer from a severe travel addiction. 🙂
I wanted to let everyone know I’ll be out of the office until April 22nd. One of my very best friends from college (I shot her wedding last May!) is currently living in Bhutan and when she found out she might be able to obtain guest visas (thus avoiding the hefty tourism tax), I promptly called first dibs! It’s not every day you get to go to a place called the land of the thunder dragon!
While I was planning out the details, I figured since I was over in that part of the world anyhow, I might as well take advantage. Back in 2006 I traveled to Thailand as part of an around the world trip and fell in love with everything South East Asia. I also discovered that I really DID want to learn how to scuba dive despite my previous fears, and have been thinking about doing it ever since. So on this trip, the plan is to spend some time getting my open water certificate on the tiny island of Ko Tao and to venture north and make a stop in Laos, a country I have heard much about but have never visited. From there I’ll head to Bhutan and explore loads of beautiful mountain scenery and some pretty fantastic temples.
I’ll be posting photos on instagram (@nfietz) as I can, and will be back just in time for busy season to get rolling!
