Miranda & Michael | NYC Elopement Photographer | Elope in Central Park
This elopement was simply gorgeous. Miranda and Michael were stunning and exuded such happiness, they made my job was easy! I don’t often get to spend this much time with a couple for elopements, but when I do it’s awesome, and the photos are always worth it. I met up with Miranda at the Essex House with her friends while she got ready, and then we headed off to the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park to meet Michael.
While it threatened rain that morning, the weather held out and the overcast skies were perfect for photos! Their ceremony was lovely and heartfelt, officiated by a friend of theirs. After snapping a few portraits in the park, they let me make the call and we headed over to Long Island City and Gantry Park for photos. I LOVE shooting in this area. The skyline views are amazing, it’s not often you get to have your first dance with the Empire State Building as a backdrop! And the random ivy covered walls make my heart happy. I’m so grateful when clients trust me and let me whisk them off to random streets in the city! ![]()
Huge congratulations and best wishes to you both! I hope you’re enjoying your new home in sunny Florida!!

Beckie & Jeremy | New York City Elopement Photographer | Empire State Building
I love elopements. Seriously, I’m pretty sure if I got hitched again, I would totally elope. So much love, so little stress. Pretty much perfect any way you slice it. Beckie found me on APW (yay awesome!) and emailed me about week before she and Jeremy were heading to the city asking if I’d be up for a last minute elopement. Of course!
These guys were the sweetest couple ever.
Before their ceremony we started off with a portrait session in Central Park. It was an amazingly gorgeous day, especially for late December!
I love this image.
From the park, we made our way downtown to the Empire State Building. That’s right, these two went for the top! 102 floor I believe to be exact. Word of advice to anyone who’d like to attempt this in the future, be sure to get express tickets! (Beckie did this in advance and it was marvelous.) Also, it’s a bit crowded, so be prepared for a bit of an audience and to make some tourists very happy! ![]()
Things were officiated by Cheerleader for Love, another awesome APW sponsor!
Their friends even brought them wedding cupcakes! Hurrah!
After the wedding, we had a bit of time so wandered around to Bryant Park, NY Public Library, and a quick stop at Grand Central.
Beckie and Jeremy, thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of your fantastically lovely afternoon! It was so much fun and I wish you many years happiness!
Happy Holidays!!
