Erika and Hayward are another one of my awesome couples from Offbeat Bride! When Erika called to tell me she was having a multicultural Japanese-Jamaican Belly Dancing wedding, I couldn’t have been more excited! I think the cultural aspects of weddings are so interesting, and photographing the coming together of so many different cultures from across the globe was really neat.
Erika also had loads of cool details, from bouquets made from book pages to a peacock hairpiece. Love it!

Oh hello beautiful blue heels!

Seriously, the most awesome things are found on etsy these days! I loved these flowers!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

Erika and Hayward were married on the steps of the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a fantastically beautiful sunny evening! You don’t get much better wedding ceremony views then this!

After the ceremony, we wandered through the park and then over into DUMBO for their reception at the Dumbo Loft.

You guys are adorable!

I love this mural and the bright colors!

Then on to the party at Dumbo Loft!

On of my favorite parts of the reception is capturing the reactions to the toasts. There were some great ones at this event!

Hayward and his mom dancing might just be the cutest thing ever. 🙂

And then! The belly dancing! SO cool! Erika’s aunt was amazing!

Dance party! These guys had some moves!

Erika & Hayward, super congratulations to you both! Thanks so much for having me!
