One of my favorite things as a wedding photographer is getting to shoot at unique wedding venues that have lots of history! When Amanda and Kyle asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding at Historic Venue 1902 near Orlando, Florida; I knew I wanted to be on board! First, I love traveling to weddings. I have lots of family in the area, so it was no problem for me to travel to this Florida wedding. Looking at a destination wedding? Don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you!
Second, what a neat space for your wedding! Historic Venue 1902 is a former grammar school that they converted into an event space and it has so much character. There was a fun classroom space we took lots of advantage of, a beautiful backyard for the ceremony, and beautiful big windows that filled the space with light. The surrounding blocks also had fun cobblestones and big trees perfect for photos! If you’re looking for a unique wedding venue near Orlando, Florida, Historic Venue 1902 is a great spot!

Amanda and Kyle first came to me for their engagement photos in Coney Island! Coney is one of my all time favorite spots to shoot in, so I was smitten right away. These two are theme park designers, like they actually build and engineer all those sweet roller coasters in Universal Studios and it was so very fun to hang out with them in their world of rides. Their wedding brought out all the nerdy, book loving, engineering fun too! From getting married in an actual schoolhouse, to a library catalogue drawer for seating and well wishes, to math equations on the wall, and engineering cocktails, this day had it all!

This getting ready room at Venue 1902 was beautiful and light filled, and I loved the fun silk pajamas Amanda and her girls had.

The guys got ready in a billards room, and you can’t go wrong with groomsman and pool!

Amanda has such a gorgeous smile, and it was a joy to photograph it all day! 🙂

The cutest first look with Amanda’s girls looking on out the window !

Then we strolled the grounds of Venue 1902 for lots of fun wedding photos! These two were troopers in the heat!

I love how easily they laugh together, it was so much fun!

This big arched window was amazing for photos!

And yes, this equation does mean something and they wrote it out themselves! We also had to take advantage of the old school desks at Venue 1902 for the wedding party!

The back garden at Venue 1902 was beautiful for their ceremony. Fun fact, a neighborhood ice cream truck went by just before their vows, the playful music was perfect for them!

Just married!

I love the library cards for table numbers!

An awesome dance party was had and photos at sunset capped off an amazing evening! Huge congrats to Amanda & Kyle!!
