Multi Cultural Wedding in Central Park Conservatory Garden || Stephanie & Sumeet

What a gorgeous evening this was! Stephanie and Sumeet were married in an intimate multi cultural wedding in Central Park’s Conservatory Garden this past summer. Everything about their day was perfection and I loved being able to document it! Stephanie’s dress was just beautiful, with the soft flowy tulle, the bright colors of Sumeet’s family popped amazingly against the green of the garden, and timing everything with sunset? You can’t ask for much more! Top it off with the fact that these two were so cute together? I was a happy camper for sure.

Central Park is by far one of the most popular places for elopements and intimate weddings in New York City, but few people venture beyond the Bethesda Terrace. If you do, you are certainly rewarded. The Conservatory Garden is a wonderful place to get married, more like a European palace garden then regular urban park. The only thing to keep in mind with getting married here is that you DO very much need a permit. (More information on what you need to know for Central Park Wedddings and Elopements can be found in my Central Park Wedding Guide.)

On the evening Stephanie and Sumeet got married, they were setting up for an event, so we couldn’t use the central pathways and garden, but no matter, the side reflecting pool the chose was still beautiful.

They opted not to see each other before the ceremony and Stephanie was escorted into the garden by her dad.

After portraits in the Conservatory Garden, we hopped in a cab to head down to the southern edge of the park as Stephanie wanted to get photos around Bethesda Terrace as well. A great spot for some quick crosswalk photos, and we lucked out with a bunch of yellow cabs! Iconic NYC!
