I love when I have clients that get married in unique venues. Littlefield is a really cool event space in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn that made for an awesome and unique wedding venue for Alex and Gaby last summer. These two, like so many others, had to reschedule their plans due to Covid and then ended up in this amazing Brooklyn spot. Littlefield is usually a live performance and art space, but it worked out really well as a fun wedding venue. If you want to get married on stage, this a great little spot!
I always enjoy getting to work in new neighborhoods and I don’t get to photograph in Gowanus that often. So this portrait was especially fun to play with some new backdrops. If you’re looking for a little more gritty, urban New York with some cool colorful street art backdrops, Gowanus in Brooklyn is your jam. This up and coming neighborhood between Park Slope and Cobble Hill is a great spot for portraits!
Alex and Gaby started their day at an Airbnb they rented that had loads of space for everyone. It was such a cool loft and then they also had access to a little rooftop spot that was perfect for a first look.
I always love a good first look expression!

After family photos on the roof, it was off for a quick spin around the neighborhood for portraits. It was windy and the sky was threatening rain, but we made quick work of it and got some great shots with the vibrant colors! I love these awesome murals we found.
Once portraits were through we headed in to Littlefield. Alex and Gaby were married by a good friend and their ceremony was so touching and full of lots of belly laughs.
These two were so excited to be married and their happiness filled the room!
Gaby picked out the coolest flowers! I’ve never seen these at a wedding and they were so neat!
And then we danced the night away! Thanks to the killer set list from Stylus DJ the floor had some great dance moves all night! What a great party! Congrats to Alex and Gaby and thanks so much for having me!
