This Gran Electrica wedding was the absolute best! One of my favorite things in the world to photograph is laughter. Pure and simple. Seth and Emily weren’t afraid to be silly and clearly love to laugh together and it made my heart so happy to document their day. Three cheers also for Emily’s amazing striped gown! I love a non-white wedding dress and this one was fantastic!
Seth and Emily are self described “hardcore Brooklynites” so obviously a Brooklyn wedding was the perfect fit for them. They came across Gran Electrica, which is one of my favorite venues (delicious tacos anyone??), and knew it was a match. According to Emily, “We chose Gran Electrica in Dumbo because we wanted something intimate enough where we could talk to our friends, but big enough that they could be there! We had a few criteria: getting married outside, good food, low stress – Gran Electrica checked all the boxes!”
Before their ceremony, I met up with them for a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront and it was a gorgeous day! We wandered from Pebble Beach, up to Empire Stores, and down through pier one taking photos all along the way. After a portrait session we went back to Gran Electrica for the festivities. They had their ceremony in the back garden surrounded by friends and family. After rounds of tacos and margaritas, Seth’s sister gave a heartfelt toast (honestly one of the best I’ve heard in some time) and then it was time for a dance party.
Seth and Emily, you are wonderful and I can’t thank you enough for inviting me to be a part of your day! Huge congrats to you both!
