I absolutely love when couples are up for sunrise sessions! Catherine and Jon willingly volunteered to get up at dawn to take some wonderful sunrise Brooklyn Bridge Park wedding photos. These two love birds came from Newcastle England to elope with just the two of them in New York City. While they opted to get married in City Hall later in the day, they wanted photos at sunrise to commemorate their day. I was more then happy to oblige.
If you’re looking for photos on Brooklyn Bridge early morning is THE time to do it as we have the space to ourselves and don’t have to worry about dodging the hundreds of tourists that populate the bridge at any other time. Even though yesterday morning was overcast and threatening rain, we still had some great light. The cloud cover also allowed us to get the twinkly city lights in the background as the day took longer then usual to brighten up. After the Brooklyn Bridge, we wandered down through DUMBO and finished up with some photos along the riverfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Catherine and Jon then had the rest of the day to celebrate with a fancy breakfast and their ceremony at City Hall!
