Maternity photos are some of my favorite images to shoot. However, up to this point, all of my maternity photo sessions in NYC have been with couples. Couple shoots for maternity are great fun, but there’s something extra special about taking some time to document just the mama to be. When A asked me if I would do a session with her, but not your typical belly photos, something a bit more boudoir-esque and outside in the park, I couldn’t contain my excitement. We aimed for sunrise as not only is the light amazing but the park is quiet and we had Belvedere Castle and Shakespeare Garden to ourselves, crucial for doing this kind of session out of a studio.
Taking these photos was a special treat for me. Sunrise, maternity and a beautiful subject? You couldn’t ask for more. If you’re an expecting mom who is looking for a New York City Maternity Photographer, please let me know!
