What an amazing elopement! I’ve photographed New York elopements in some really unique locations, but a Broadway stage wedding might take the cake for one of the coolest places yet. When my super talented friend Katie Jane, of Katie Jane Photography, said she need a second shooter for an elopement in a Broadway theater, I jumped at the chance. Two handsome grooms and a wedding on a broadway stage? I’m in.

These two dapper gentlemen came from Australia to elope on the Wicked stage at the Gershwin Theater. I’ve never been backstage of a Broadway production before, and I have to say it was really amazing. They had the theater to themselves and were married in a beautiful ceremony by the always lovely Judie Guild. While Katie shot from the floor, I stayed on stage behind the couple. Afterwards we also got to take some fun portraits around the theater itself.
