An East Village Elopement at the Creative Little Garden
Aaron and Katie flew in from Colorado for their elopement in the East Village. They were looking for a unique spot for their ceremony and I recommended a few of my favorite community gardens. If you’re having an intimate wedding, these can be great spots for a unique venue. The East Village neighborhood is full of quirky, unique spots and it was the perfect backdrop for Aaron and Katie.
They chose the The Creative Little Garden and I couldn’t have been more excited as I’ve been trying to get a couple in here for photos forever. It’s one of my favorite secluded little off the beaten path spots in the city and wonderful for a private elopement. Before the ceremony we took a loop around the neighborhood, right where the East Village and Alphabet City meet, it’s full of colorful doors, street art and all kinds of indie shops and cafes.
The Reverend D, perhaps the coolest officiant offbeat you’ll ever meet, performed their ceremony in front of a mantle of birdhouses and it was perfection. After their vows we hopped in a cab over to Williamsburg for some city views and some cold beers close to the Brooklyn Brewery.
