Oh man. This was one of my most favorite shoots of the summer. Jenna and Tommi were my first couple from Finland and they absolutely rocked their portrait session. I loved Jenna’s black wedding dress and these guys were just so glamorous and fun.
They were married at City Hall and then met up with me a couple hours later to match up with the sunset. (PS. The best way to make your photographer giddy with excitement? Be willing to time things with the best light!) We brainstormed all kinds of neighborhoods, and they decided Tribeca was the best for what the look they were going for. I shoot here often with City Hall clients, but am usually pressed for time coming from or to a ceremony, so this was awesome just wander all through the streets. Tribeca has cool cobbled alleyways, great architecture and best of all? We got to finish on the waterfront piers at the Hudson River Park right at sunset, and it was seriously glorious. I hadn’t shot in this spot before and my head was exploding with how awesome it is with the golden light.
Jenna and Tommi, thank you for being amazing and congratulations to you both! I will officially add Finland to my list and hopefully we can cross paths again!
