This wedding was so full of awesome. Ashley and Dan invited me up to Lake Placid for their wedding at the Lake Placid Lodge. The last time I was in this part of the state I was about 4 years old, so I was thrilled to get the chance to head back up, especially during the fall colors!
First things first, Ashley and Dan are two the most fun, goofiest, amazing dance moves filled couple you will ever have the chance to meet. I’m pretty sure I was laughing the entire day. Ashley is an audiologist and in love with all things ears, thus Spock socks where going to make an appearance. Oh! And! They had an owl at their cocktail hour! Apparently there’s an owl handler who regularly works at the lodge they saw while doing a tour, so they asked if he could come to their wedding. How cool is that?
They also couldn’t have asked for a more gloriously sun filled fall afternoon. We met up at their little cabin and then walked down the road through the trees to the official lodge for more photos on the water. After their lake front ceremony, for perhaps the most amazing part of the day, Ashley, Dan and I hopped on a Hackercraft boat and did a sunset spin around Lake Placid. Awesome.
Ashley and Dan, you guys are the best. Thank you SO very much for inviting me up north for your wedding! Congratulations and best wishes for many years of boat rides together on the lake!
