Ellie and Matt are another one of my couples that found me via APW! They’re getting married at the end of February in one of my all time favorite venues, The Metropolitan Building in Queens… so I might be just a little excited!! 😉 Ellie and Matt were so much fun, and I was especially pumped because when I mentioned I’ve been wanting to do a shoot on Governor’s Island for approximately forever? They were game! Awesome.

For any of my out of towner’s, Governor’s Island is my most favorite summertime retreat in the city. Hop on a ferry in downtown Manhattan (or Brooklyn) and in about 5 minutes, you’re in an oasis of rolling picnic greens, hammock groves, wildflowers, beautiful old buildings, quirky art, and, best of all, no cars. It’s lovely, and perfection for photos with the killer skyline views!
