Travel Tuesday for 5.27.14: Siena, Italy

We headed to Siena for a day trip from rural Tuscany where we were staying on our Italy trip this past April. It was only about an hour and a half drive, and made for a wonderful afternoon. The day we visited was a bit rainy, but we still enjoyed wandering the streets, some delicious pizza and baked goods, and of course a requisite gelato. 🙂
Siena is much smaller then I expected, but I loved the winding streets and the quaint feel. It’s someplace I’d love to return to and spend more time.
