Travel Tuesday 3.24.14: Takayama, Japan
Traveled: September 2013, With Alex
Alex and I spent a few days in this lovely little town back on our September trip to Japan. It’s a gorgeous train ride through the alps to get there, and we stayed at a ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn that not only had hot springs, but served us mountains of amazing food. We spent our time wandering through the antique lanes full of old sake houses, doing a bit of hiking, and even visited a historic village up in the hills.
If you have the chance, to get out of the big cities in Japan, I highly recommend it!
