Travel Tuesday 1.21.14: Santiago, Chile
Traveled: January of 2012, with Alex
After making our way through Buenos Aires and Mendoza, Alex and I hopped on a bus and trucked across the Andes to capital city of Chile, Santiago. We only had a few days to explore but had a great time. We ate loads of delicious seafood, walked through some lovely parks and plazas, the area around Pablo Neruda’s house, and just enjoyed passing the time in a leisurely fashion. While perhaps not my favorite destination of all time, it seemed like it was a rather nice place just to hang out and be without all the touristy hustle and bustle of other large metropolis type areas.
PS. For those of you who enjoy tagging along on my travel journeys, not only is this year turning out to look pretty good on the passport front, but Im now part of a lovely new photography collective , The Western Lights. We capture a photo each week from all sorts of different places. Feel free to follow along!
