Travel Tuesday for 12.31.13: Ko Tao, Thailand
Traveled: May 2006 with Emily, April 2013, Solo
As I’m writing this from a coffee shop in Minneapolis where the tempurature outside isn’t expected to get above zero, I figured it seemed fitting to post some lovely beach sunsets to send off 2013! This past year was fantastic for travel, in addition to going back and forth between NYC and Vermont, I also managed to explore Thailand, Laos, Bhutan, Japan, and added a few more domestic stops with Philadelphia, Portland, the Oregon Coast, and Seattle.
The photos below are from the small of Ko Tao off the coast of Thailand. I’ve now been to Ko Tao twice, and both trips involved overcoming fears, the first time snorkeling with sharks swimming below, and the second time I came solo to get my scuba diving certification. I’m now looking forward to planning trips with the ocean depths in mind as this whole new world was revealed to me. For those yet to dive, I can’t reccomend it enough!
