Travel Tuesday 12.3.13: Merzouga Dunes, Morocco
Traveled in: 2006 with Emily
Morocco was the second stop on my 2006 round the world excursion. This particular adventure wasn’t something we entirely planned, but a trip Emily and I ended up on from Marrakech. While the drive there was LONG, the views from the Merzouga Dunes are incredible. The sand creates such fantastic textures. I would love to go back someday with my slr in hand! We spent the night in the desert and then were up for the sunrise, which though always is some of my favorite light, is something extra special in a place like this.
I’ve never before or since done much shooting in deserts, but I’d love to give it a shot! An elopement out west anyone?
