Sara and Shannon | New York City Elopement Photographer | City Hall | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Sara and Shannon are a fabulous pair! They came up from North Carolina to get married at the end of September and we had a wonderful afternoon wandering through Brooklyn and around City Hall.

The plan had been for me to meet them at City Hall after they got a waiver signed by a judge so they could marry on the same day they got their license. (NYC normally has a 24 hour waiting period.) However, the judge they got to sign their waiver unexpectedly married them on the spot! So when they showed up to City Hall, they were already married! I was sad not to get to photograph the ceremony, but it sounded like their judge was pretty awesome. Then we just had loads of time for portraits (which was good since City Hall was a madhouse that day), so everything worked out in the end! 🙂

It rained briefly in the morning, but then things cleared up just in time for photos! Hurray!

After a round of photos at City Hall, we jumped on the subway and headed over to Brooklyn!

You girls are ridiculously cute. 🙂

There was fist bumping and thumb wrestling to be had in Dumbo, obviously. 🙂

No trip to the Brooklyn Bridge Park is complete without a ride on Jane’s Carousel!

LOVE.

To cap things off, we stopped off at Brooklyn Farmacy for a fun fizzy drink and some ice cream! A perfect way to end the day! Sara and Shannon, thanks for a great afternoon! I hope you had a wonderful time in the city and good luck with your new house!! Congrats!
