I LOVE photographing proposals in NYC! It’s so fun to be a part of the secret and getting to capture all the excitement of the moment. John asked me if I’d be willing to come to Fort Tryon Park for this proposal and I was super excited. I love this gorgeous park way up in northern Manhattan. It’s such a hidden gem and the view of the George Washington Bridge was perfect. And with the fall leaves still colorful? We couldn’t go wrong.
We had originally planned for the proposal to be back in the summertime on their anniversary. However, we got rained out and John decided to wait until the fall when Leidy was finishing up her school work. As he led Leidy down into the park, she was thinking they were going to a nice dinner to celebrate her finishing her social work program, but he had another special surprise. As they passed the riverfront view he got down on one knee and pulled out a silver rose holding the ring. She said yes! After the proposal, we wandered around the park, enjoying the huge archways and all the pretty fall leaves around that time of year. These two are some of the sweetest people you could meet and they make such a cute couple!
Congratulations to John and Leidy! Best wishes to you both!
