A surprise wedding? Awesome! I love elopements, and I love surprise weddings possibly even more. Anastasia and Joel convinced their parents to come to NYC for an “engagement dinner” but the morning of the ceremony they received a special note at their hotel telling them to come to Central Park for a surprise wedding! While their parents found their way to the park, I met up with Anastasia and Joel on the mall by the Bethesda Terrace. From there we then made our way over to the Ladies Pavilion for their ceremony snapping photos along the way. At the Pavilion they met up with their surprised, but very happy parents and exchanged vows with barely a dry eye in the house. Afterwards we snapped a few more photos, making sure to include Jasper, their adorable pup, who definitely didn’t want to be left out of the fun. 🙂
These two just overflowed with joy and I couldn’t have had a better time working with them. I don’t think Anastasia could have had a bigger smile on her face if she tried. These are the elopements that I walk home from just so darn giddy that this is my job. Sharing in this much happiness is a pretty wonderful thing.
Anastasia and Joel, thanks so much for having me and congratulations to you both! Good luck on your move to San Diego, I wish you all the best!
