We’ve been here about a month now and not a day has gone by without Vermont taking my breath away with how gorgeous it is. And it’s not even fall color season yet!! After living in the intense urban jungle of NYC (I’m still back regularly for weddings and elopements!), it’s been so wonderful to be in the fresh air with spectacular mountain views!
Though I’ve done a bit of hiking here in the local park, (Seriously you can hike right in the city! How cool is that??) I hadn’t actually gotten out on an actual hike. So I took myself down to the outdoor store and asked where I should head this weekend. The guy was super friendly and gave me a book of day hikes, and told me Stowe Pinnacle would be a good place to start if I wanted to summit something in an afternoon. That sounded about perfect to me! So I packed a lunch and off I went this morning!
I hiked a ton in Harriman while living in the city, but this was pretty uphill! I was definitely breathing hard and a sweaty mess at the end, but it was most definitely worth the view!
So I totally thought these overturned tree roots looked like a person! See the little arms??
Hurray for outdoor adventures! 🙂
Not a bad lunch break view!
Happy Labor Day Weekend! 🙂
