Travel Tuesday for 11.12.13 : Queenstown, New Zealand

Traveled: June 2006 with Emily as part of our RTW Trip

Oh New Zealand. This country, guys, if you have the chance, GO. (Yes, I know I say that about everywhere.) But seriously, NZ is spectacular. Granted, it isn’t the bargain for your wallet that South East Asia might be, but the adventures that can be had and the scenery to soak up are incredible. I spent three weeks heading from the north to south island and just barely scratched the surface.

Our last stop was Queenstown, adventure capital of the world. While we didn’t do any crazy stunts, we had a wonderful time hiking around in the surrounding foothills and enjoying the winterfest, which happened to be there while we were in town. I would LOVE to head back someday with an updated camera in hand! Who wants to get hitched hang gliding off a mountain? I will so be there. :-)

Winter Wonderland! | Vermont Wedding Photographer | Destination Wedding Photographer

I woke up this morning and peeked out the window to discover a beautiful winter wonderland! Being from Minnesota, I’m no stranger to snow, but something about the forests and mountains of Vermont makes the winter snowscapes especially enchanting here.

I try and go for a walk through Hubbard Park, the big hill behind the church steeple in the above photo, as many mornings as weather permits. I’ve never actually brought my camera, but today I figured it was high time I captured some of the winter beauty of this place.
