What a fun morning! Elena & Patrick got engaged in San Francisco and then decided to elope from Germany to NYC to complete the circle coast to coast. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a couple from Germany, and it was wonderful to hang out with these two today. They were so very excited to get married!
We started off the morning at City Hall, which has been pleasantly quick this week, so here’s hoping that pattern continues! After making things official, we grabbed a cab across the bridge to Brooklyn. A fun only in NYC tidbit… as were taking photos in Brooklyn Bridge Park I noticed there were a couple film crews around. Behind us a small crowd of folks had started to gather looking like they might be getting set up to start working on something or other. As we finished and walked back off the pier, a tall man in the group shouted his congratulations to Elena and Patrick. I thought to myself, that voice sounds familiar! I looked back and sure enough, it was Wyatt Cenac, originally of The Daily Show fame! Hurrah for celebrity sightings at weddings! 🙂
After leaving the pier, we wandered all around the park and finished up making our way past the murals in Dumbo. I love finishing with the YES! mural as it seems pretty fitting for a wedding. These guys were clearly full of laughter and my job was made easy. Congratulations Elena and Patrick! I hope you guys have a fabulous rest of your time in New York!
