Williamsburg Brooklyn Elopement with Street Art | Param & Jocelyn

This was such a fun afternoon! Param and Jocelyn came from Australia to elope in Williamsburg,Brooklyn in New York City. Thanks to Covid it’s been awhile since I’ve had Aussie couples, I’m so glad to see folks start coming back! P & J had a bigger more traditional wedding back in Australia, but knew they wanted to do something special just for them, hence their NYC elopement ceremony and photos to follow. I love this idea, and it’s one of the reasons I love working with elopement couples so much. It’s so great that couples get a chance to focus on what they truly want and makes them the happiest.

Param and Jocelyn knew they wanted a neighborhood with some great street art and somewhere with some great views of the city. We looked at a few different spots, but I’m so glad they settled on Williamsburg. It’s been a minute since I did a wedding here, and I love wandering these streets and if you’re looking for cool street art, it’s a great place to be!

The day of their ceremony the weather was not exactly cooperating. They had hoped for a ceremony on the waterfront with a skyline backdrop, however, the clouds and the rain had other plans. Luckily, we found this amazing covered space right across the street from their hotel. The brick backdrop worked out and there was even a little stage for them to hop up on. Hope Mirlis did a beautiful service as usual, then it was off for photos!

I was thrilled with all the fun backdrops we found, and the rain was kind enough to hold off while we were taking photos. Hurray! Param and Jocelyn looked awesome in their outfits and it was a great time wandering around with them both! At the very end we walked by the river to see that the clouds had lifted and they were game to stroll the beach a bit for photos. Williamsburg waterfront views for the win! I know that Brooklyn Bridge is iconic, but this view with the Empire State Building is just as cool!
