I love the beach. Having lived in NYC since 2008, I am truly amazed that it took me until this past summer to discover how fun the Rockaways are. However, once I did, you can bet I went multiple times and will be headed out again this summer. With a fun beach so close, I would love to do more NYC Rockaway beach elopements! Alice and Paul also love the ocean and with Paul’s mom living in Rockaway Beach they decided that eloping on the boardwalk with the waves crashing in the background would be the perfect setting for their NYC micro wedding. Thus, their Rockaway Beach elopement wedding was born!
I met them in front of the boardwalk along with a couple friends and family and they were set to tie the knot. I have to admit, it wasn’t your ideal beach wedding day as gray and rainy as it was. However, Alice and Paul made the best of it, and it certainly meant that we had the boardwalk all to ourselves. Hope Mirlis performed their ceremony and despite the cold, it was a romantic, heartwarming event.
After exchanging vows, we wandered around the boardwalk and Alice and Paul even agreed to a stroll on the beach! I was so impressed as it was certainly chilly, but I was thrilled to get a view shots in the waves!
