It’s a blizzard-y day here in NYC today so I’m catching up on blogging some past weddings and elopements. I figured what better to start with then this lovely Wagner Cove Central Park winter wedding that had the most beautiful dusting of snow! Katy and Brian came from California to elope in Central Park in wintertime and I was so thrilled we had just a touch of snow to give things that extra winter feel, and with Katy’s bright red coat it was magic!
These two opted to have their wedding ceremony at Wagner Cove. While one of the most popular places for intimate weddings in the park, it’s always one of my favorites. It’s private and perfect for a ceremony with just the couple and an officiant. Katy and Brian were married by Sacha Jones, who always does such a wonderful personal ceremony. If you’re looking for someone to incorporate your unique love story into a wedding ceremony, Sacha does an exceptional job.
For photos, we got to explore a bit and did photos along the neighboring Upper West Side as well as the park. I love the brownstones along these streets and they make for such an iconic New York neighborhood backdrop. After their ceremony, we wandered down by Bow Bridge, through Bethesda and down to Cat Rock and Gapstow Bridge for some skyline shots. I even got to play with some puddle reflections leftover from the recent snowfall. It was a beautiful morning and Katy and Brian were such a delight to work with!
